Small Animal Internal Medicine
Our Internal Medicine Clinician is able to provide different levels of services for your first opinion practice, including telemedicine and/or in-house consultations and procedures.
These services can be requested as routine or urgent cases.
Consultation
Some examples of problems that may benefit from an internal medicine specialist consultation or guidance are:
- Increased water intake or increased urination
- Weight loss or weight gain
- Hypertension
- Chronic coughing or nasal discharge
- Chronic vomiting or diarrhoea
- Constipation
- Difficulties urinating
- Haematological abnormalities such as anaemia/erythrocytosis, neutropenia or thrombocytopenia
- Management of endocrinopathies such as diabetes mellitus or hyperadrenocorticism
- Management of immune mediated conditions such as IMHA, precursor immune mediated anaemia or immune mediated thrombocytopenia
The expected turnaround time for advice is within 12/24 hours for routine cases or within 4 hours for urgent cases.
